Laura is studying International Relations in London University. The reason why she chose this major is that it enables her to look at the topics of her interest in different viewpoints. She gets to learn whether what is taken for granted in Britain is not the case in foreign countries or the other way round, which gives her a broader perspective for national and international issues. Because her parents are doing international business, she has spent a few years in different parts of the world. As a result, she can speak six different languages, including English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Turkish. She thinks that learning foreign languages is a fantastic means to understand people of various cultures and it also helps her in her major study. Laura will hopefully build her career from there and work abroad later on.
