Lauren is majoring in what MIT students calls 18C, referring to Mathematics and Computer Science. She is associated in several school activities like a sorority and the orchestra club. Lauren enjoys talking with her friends from the sorority and preparing small events for special times throughout the school year. She is also a member of the orchestra club and plays the cello there. Lauren says she was inspired a lot by Dan Brown¡¯s novel the ¡°Da Vinci Code¡± that made her interested in the field of cryptology. She is now seriously considering working as a cryptologist for a national security agency in the future, and is currently taking courses related to cryptology to see if it really suits her.
