Harriot is a literary agent who helps authors to get the best publishing contracts. What led her to this job was basically through a six-month internship in a publishing company. The experience there helped her grasp the actual work environment and to make sure that it was the way for her. She believes that the fact that she loves reading also contributed to her decision. Harriot says that the best part about her job is that she actually gets to meet the authors whom she loves. She finds it very rewarding to help and represent the authors so that they can create their best piece of literature. She was more than excited when she worked for Phillip Pullman, a famous British writer who wrote the Northern Lights, which is considered one of the best fantasy literatures in the world.
