Alicia is a hair designer in Illinois. She takes a long vacation once a year to refresh her life. She believes that traveling to different places and experiencing diverse cultures allows her to have an open attitude to new challenges. This is Alicia��s first visit to Hawaii with her grandparents who frequently visit Hawaii. She feels that Hawaii has a distinctive culture different from the U.S. mainland. She says she was especially impressed by the relaxed life style and smiles in Hawaii. Alicia thinks recalling those Hawaiian smiles would make her happy once she returns to Illinois.
