Alani is a sophomore at Univ. of Hawaii-Manoa. She is majoring in psychology. She is planning to get a master's degree to become a speech therapist. She wants to become a speech therapist to help children with speech disabilities. She is working as a part-time Hula dancer at restaurants or hotels. She dances because she thinks it is a part of preserving Hawaiian culture. She doesn't just dance, but teach people about the history of the dance. She seems to put all her efforts to preserve the precious and unique Hawaiian culture even though she isn't an expert in Hula dance.
