Melissa studied zooecology in graduate school and started a job as a curator for the Aquarium of the Bay ever since she completed her master's degree. As an animal lover, she feels very proud of herself for becoming part of something she always dreamed of. Two years ago, she rescued three otters that came up to shore with injuries, and she's been taking care of them ever since. Through taking care of the otters, she started to learn veterinary science and is considering getting another degree.
